Meaningful Impact - what does our donation mean to the RSL members?
Mudgeeraba Robina RSL Sub Branch
The funds generously donated by Sally Cameron from the 2025 ANZAC Virtual Marathon were used to support the RSL Rocks Mudgeeraba, helping ensure Veterans and their family members could attend the event and enjoy a strong sense of camaraderie. The donation also contributed to Veteran wellbeing initiatives, including our monthly morning teas, providing a safe and welcoming environment for members to connect and support one another.
Thanks for your support

Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch
In presenting our RSL sub Branch with the funds your marathon run has raised each year
has helped us enormously with providing welfare for our veteran members. Last year the funds were used to provide
two bus trips to various locations in SE Qld which are always well-attended. As well, we have been able to provide for
our regular bi-monthly morning teas which again is popular and well attended and much camaraderie is enjoyed.
We wish you every success in your 2026 endeavours. Thank you and particularly all of your supporters for their efforts.
With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything we do.

Burleigh Heads RSL Sub Branch
The Burleigh Heads RSL Hall is situated on Sixth Avenue at Burleigh Heads. This road has now been permanently closed to access due to the light rail The construction has meant the bottom end of the street is now a site area so we have lost access to approximately 12 parking spaces. We currently have just two disabled parking spots outside our hall. This has had a massive effect on some of our members who can no longer park within their walking distance of the hall. Fifty six of our service members (numbering 102) are aged over 76 and 21 of them are aged over 86. This is a serious issue for us. Consequently, we decided to use the very generous donation from Sally and the Anzac Day Marathon to provide a taxi pick up and return to those who cannot safely drive and park to get to our functions. This has meant a number of our older members are still able to attend the hall for Socials and commemorative events. It has been a blessing to us and we do thank Sally so much for including us.
